Well we have now opened. I didn't realise I had so much fabric at home in my dining room. I put it out in the collections I had with their matching pre cuts. It took me some time to organise furniture for the shop to show off the quilts I had done and the fabrics I have for sale. My husband was fed up, in the end, of me winning the bid on Ebay and being told we have to take the van to Swindon for a piece of furniture. Also lots of late nights meant lots of takeaways , not that the Kids complained.
My dog, however, has been very upset that I am at work. He has terrible separation anxiety and this week I have twice come home to sick on my bed....nice! I am going to have to bring him with me occasionally but he gets car sick, I can't win!
We also +had out first workshops this week. Monday we had Introduction to Quilting where the ladies were mastering the disappearing nine patch. Every time I teach this block I love to see the reaction when it is complete and they see how simple thing can look complicated. We also had the NOEL cushion where we had festive music, (bit early), mince pies and lovely conversation.
I am making a quilt for a single bed at the moment and I will be making all accessories to match. I am hoping this to be a series on You Tube showing how quilting can be a beautiful addition to your interiors.
So next week there will be more sewing classes and hopefully will get Bentley in the shop with out mishaps!
Bye for now,
